Portland/Steep Falls (pt.1)

Saturday started out with a trip up the coast to Portland Maine.

Mom and Dad got fresh oysters and swordfish at the seafood market, down on the docks in the Old Port. From there we headed over to the Eastern Promenade where we saw a huge 3 masted ship, maybe in for restoration. We also watched one tug pull another into the harbor. We walked the Promenade for quite a while. We saw some strange ducks and a few metal sculptures. I barked a shout out to lots of "city" dogs I met along the way. Sometimes a walk in the city can be an adventure of it's own.

Well now Saturday night it snowed! Sunday morning we headed to Steep falls. I hit the ground running when we got there. By the time I reached the falls I had snowballs caked all over my fur. I just love playing in the snow
We found a wing print in the snow, then a print of a whole bird (look close at picture and you can even see the beak print) in fact there were so many prints in the snow that it looked like a flock of angels had touched down. It was fun making our way though the snow out to the birch tree flag pole next to the river.

It was our first snow tromping trip of the year, one of many winter adventures that lay ahead.

P.S. Happy Birthday to my Grammie Libby. Woof woof...love you.
