We traveled through the night Friday and slept in the van. Serenaded to sleep by a hoot owl right outside the window. We woke up at the put in for Horseshoe pond. The early morning fog was enchanting. A quick breakfast at the van while I got to play with two kids on the beach. The little boy was squealing with delight as he had caught not one but TWO frogs at once. HOW DELIGHTFUL!!!! The true sound of summer!
We took a stroll through some conservation land out to an observation tower and then back to put the canoe into Horseshoe Pond. Small horseshoe shaped

The afternoon found us hiking up to a series of waterfall drops called The Cataracts. Really cool ! LITERALLY!
My Mom and Dad have to be the only people I know who shuck fresh Maine oyster on any given day at any given place. Sure ended their day with smiles....I, Moxie, love to see them smile....I smile back!
Play videos even if they appear black.
